Project Overview - Strategic Initiatives
Thought Leadership

DRI aims to educate the industry professionals on digital transforming opportunities and local capabilities within energy, mining, and technology. The program will help develop an understanding on how innovation and data management can provide added value to each sector and to showcase how digital solutions can increase flexibility, productivity, efficiency and resilience.

This thought leadership will be presented through conferences, digital awareness, and focal studies.

Capacity Building

The DRI program will champion the tech sector to demonstrate the capacity of local innovations.

DRI will work with strategic partners and adopters to define unique technology challenge(s) for the local tech companies. In response to these challenge(s), DRI will either:

  • Connect specific solutions provider(s) to the partner,
  • Curate a Tech Market event to showcase diverse innovative and forward-thinking products and services that can meet the challenge(s), or
  • Investigate long-term collaborative models to identify, develop, and test potential new products and services.
Technology Leadership

Highlighting export potential through exposure boosting of Newfoundland & Labrador technology in new markets, export missions, and value added programming for traveling tech companies.
