SUMMARY:Foster Innovation - Hosted by Strix
DESCRIPTION:Your innovation\, our program.\nNewfoundland and Labrador’s aerospace sector is uniquely positioned to tackle some of the industry’s most pressing challenges. From supporting aviation operations in remote and harsh environments to advancing drone technologies\, surveillance capabilities\, and next-generation aerospace solutions\, innovators across the province are developing ideas that can drive transformation both nationally and globally. \nWe have seen this firsthand through our work with forward-thinking organizations under the program we power: the Initiative for Sustainable Aviation Technology (INSAT). Building on the success of projects across Canada\, we’re coming to St. John’s to connect with organizations that are ready to turn innovative ideas into real-world impact. \nOn November 17\, 2026\, Strix is hosting a free networking event in St. John’s\, NL – offering ACADA members and non-members alike the chance to explore emerging innovation opportunities as government initiatives map out priorities for the next few years. \nAchieving sectoral growth doesn’t come from doing more of the same – it comes from innovation. By gathering organizations from across Newfoundland and Labrador’s aerospace ecosystem\, this event in collaboration with ACADA aims to: \n\nConnect innovators and enablers shaping the future of aerospace in Newfoundland and Labrador and Atlantic Canada\nExplore how innovation can strengthen competitiveness for industry and government\nHighlight practical pathways to grow market share\, attract funding\, and build strategic partnerships through new ideas\nShowcase INSAT and how it supports organizations to make breakthroughs\n\nWhether you’re advancing autonomous systems\, next-generation sensing technologies\, or data-driven aerospace solutions\, the event’s program allows for attendees to align ambition with action and help expand not just the province’s aerospace footprint but also its influence through collaboration. \nIf you’re a forward-thinking aerospace organization in Newfoundland and Labrador\, we hope to see you there. \nOur Speakers\nMeet the Strix and ACADA team members that are speaking at our collaborative event:\n \nStrix team members (main speakers): \n\nChief Financial Officer – Lyne Guay CPA\nVice President\, External Relations and Business Development – Julien Caudroit Van Cauwenberghe\n\nACADA team member (guest speaker): \n\nChief Executive Officer – Victoria Belbin\, M.M.S\, ICD.D
